    What is property conveyancing?

    Property Conveyancing is the process of transferring ownership or a legal interest in the property to another party.

    Who notifies the authorities that i have purchased a property?

    The Lands Department will then notify authorities such as local council, water authorities and other statutory bodies of the change of ownership. Electrical, Telephone and other providers will need to be advised by directly by you due to privacy regulations.

    What is disbursement?

    A disbursement is one of the expenses incurred during the process of searching and obtaining a certificate from local government authorities or local councils etc.

    • Booking of settlement with client’s bank or lender.
    • Attend Settlement - the conveyancer will organise and attend the settlement on your behalf.
    • Submission of Notices of Acquisition.

    • All legal advice forming part of the conveyancing work.
    • All legal work forming part of the conveyancing work.
    • All office costs (postage, faxes, phone calls, photocopying) forming part of the conveyancing work.
    • Obtaining of mortgage “payout figure” from Lender.
    • Booking of settlement with client’s bank or lender.
    • Settlement at our office.
    • Submission of Notices of Disposition.

    Where the property is a unit/apartment, and an Owners Corporation (Body Corporate) is involved, an extra charge will apply for each Owners Corporation Certificate purchased.
